Tilly Norwood, an AI-generated performer, may soon sign with a Hollywood talent agency. Her creators say agents are in talks to represent her. They pitch her as castable, directable, and available on demand.

Creators tout industry interest

Actor-comedian and technologist Eline van der Velden helped create Norwood through Xicoia. She described the venture as an AI talent studio that can create and manage digital stars for hire. According to MovieWeb, she said interest from agents has grown in recent months.

Van der Velden spoke at the Zurich Summit and described shifting reactions. She said meetings in February brought doubt. By May, she said people wanted to work with the team. She added they will announce which agency will represent Norwood in the next few months.

Verena Puhm, from Luma AI’s Studio Dream Lab LA, also commented. She said studios have moved slowly in public. She added they want new creatives and technologists to show how to use the tools. She suggested many are already working on AI projects.

Debate over AI actors grows

MovieWeb notes the talks come two years after Hollywood strikes that included concerns over AI. The outlet frames Norwood as a possible sign of a new wave of bespoke digital performers. These would be available for projects at short notice.

What a talent deal could signal

If Norwood signs with an agency, it could test how representation handles AI talent. MovieWeb reports that agents are used to human clients. A deal could raise new questions about contracts and work terms.

Van der Velden and Puhm said entertainment companies are embracing AI under the radar. They expect high-profile announcements soon. Their comments suggest more AI performers may follow.

Norwood’s pitch emphasizes reliability and control. The creators call her castable and directable like a human. They also describe on-demand availability. MovieWeb presents this as a point that could draw more interest.

MovieWeb links Van der Velden’s remarks to a Deadline report on the Zurich Summit. The publication says the team plans to share the agency name in the coming months. More details are expected as talks progress.
